Day 1 Saskatoon & Regina to Edmonton & Calgary, AB

Saskatoon and Regina passengers travel by Greyhound coach line to Edmonton and Calgary respectively.

Day 2 Vancouver, Victoria & Nanaimo to Kelowna, BC
Edmonton, Calgary to Kelowna, BC

Welcome Aboard! A warm welcome aboard our luxury coach, which is air-conditioned and washroom equipped for your comfort and enjoyment. Vancouver and Vancouver Island passengers enjoy mid-morning pick-up service from various locations throughout the Lower Mainland.  Relax during our journey through the Fraser Valley over the Coquihalla and Connector Highways bring us to Kelowna for the overnight stay (Coast Capri or similar).
Edmonton passengers travel south to Calgary to pick up fellow passengers, and travel to Kelowna. (coach transfer subject to group numbers)

Day 3 Kelowna to Spokane, WA
Today we travel through the Okanagan Valley to Osoyoos, then on to Spokane for the night.  The Doubletree Hotel is located downtown adjacent to Riverfront Park and Spokane Falls.  Join your Tour Director & Fellow passengers for a Welcome Get Acquainted Reception & Tour Briefing at the hotel. (Doubletree or similar)

Day 4 Boise, ID B
After a full American Breakfast, we travel through the towering forest of the Potato State of Idaho. Our destination for tonight is Boise, Idaho. (Courtyard Marriott or similar)

Day 5 Boise to Jackpot, NV B
We start the day with a full hot breakfast at the hotel.  A leisurely southern drive brings us to Jackpot, a fittingly named town in the state of Nevada.    The rest of the day is free to do as you wish, as we spend the night here.

Day 6 Las Vegas, NV 2 Nts, B
We head south this morning, across the “Sagebrush State” Nevada to the world famous Las Vegas, the “City That Never Sleeps!”.  This afternoon, we tour the Las Vegas Strip.  Brief stops at a couple of casinos on the strip will enhance our day.  The city truly glitters with all of its neon!  We check into our full service hotel here for 2 nights.

Day 7 Las Vegas, NV B
Today we enjoy a free day to spend by the pool, tour some of the extravagant resorts, or try our luck in one of the many casinos.

Today we depart the “Xandu of the Desert” and ride with Lady Luck to the southernmost point of “Arizona’s West Coast”, Yuma.  We return spend the night here. (Windgate or similar)

Day 9 Metro Phoenix, AZ 14 Nts, B
This morning we visit a date farm, the Peanut Patch and the Sahati Camel Farm.  The Camel Farm is the dream of an individual who has bred his favourite animals and is now home to a variety of species. (subject to change) We then drive East through Arizona to Scottsdale, a desert paradise nestled beneath a mountain playground.  Scottsdale is our home for the next 14 nights.  Upon arrival at our condominium, enjoy a leisurely afternoon to become acquainted with the hotel facilities and surrounding area.  For those who would like to pick up some groceries, coach and driver will provide transportation to a nearby grocery store for your convenience.  Relax and unpack in your full-service condominium home for the next 2 weeks. (Hospitality Suites or Hampton Inn Suites)

Day 10 Phoenix, AZ BNative American Dancer
It’s Sunday! Enjoy a leisurely day to do as you please.  For golf enthusiasts, perhaps a round of golf this morning at one or more than twenty public and private courses located within a 5 to 10 mile radius of Scottsdale.  Many are world class and offer spectacular desert and mountain scenery.  Tour Director can advise you.  If golf is not your thing, simply enjoy a walk, jog, run or suntan on the beautiful golf course.  Relax by the poolside and take advantage of the hotel facilities.  Ask your tour director or hotel staff for local activities available.

Day 11 Metro Phoenix Area Guided Tour B
Enjoy a locally guided extended city tour of the Metro Phoenix area, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa and Tempe.  This tour will give us a general life style observation of the “Valley of the Sun”.  This extended guided tour includes The Phoenix Civic Plaza, America West Arena, Bank One Ballpark, Mercado & Arizona Center, Symphony Hall, Herberger & Orpheum Theatres, and other downtown points of interest.  Also included are the financial and historical areas including the State Capitol and Heritage Square.  We tour past the Mormon Temple in Mesa, Mills Avenue in Tempe and Arizona State University.  We enjoy the unique views of Camelback Mountain as we tour through Paradise Valley and Scottsdale, traveling past such famous homes as the Wrigley and Hormel Mansions and Senator Barry Goldwaters’ home, as well as many famous resorts.

This morning you have the opportunity to brush up on your bargaining skills. Join your Tour Director for a leisurely morning at the Greyhound Park Flea Market.  This afternoon it’s off to the exciting dog races where we have a chance to try our luck at Greyhound Park.

Day 13 Tucson B
Today we take a trip to Tucson.  We visit the Senora Desert Museum, which is one of Arizona’s most popular attractions.  Its exhibitions reflect the outdoor world found in the unique ecology of the Senora desert.  It contains over 300 animals and 1300 plants, all indigenous to the Senora Desert Region.  This afternoon is spent at another popular attraction – the Old Tucson Studios.   The town was constructed in 1939 for the movie “Arizona”.  Since then, it has been the location for over 300 productions.  It has a frontier town atmosphere and features a museum, live gunfights, stunt shows, and a sound studio.

Day 14 Main Street Arts District B
This morning join your Tour Director for a trip to the Main Street Arts District in Scottsdale.  For those who would prefer, meet up with some newfound friends for a round of golf, or take some time for yourself to rest and relax.  In the evening we provide transportation for those who would like to go to the Rockin’ R Ranch for an old-fashioned Chuck wagon dinner, served cowboy style, followed by a western show. (Optional)

Day 15 Goldfield Ghost Town & Mine B
Today we enjoy a trip to historical Tortilla Flat. On the way we visit Superstition Mountain and Old Goldfield Mine, a thrilling experience. Goldfield Mine had its first strike in 1892 and supported a population of up to 4,000 over its 5-year peak.

Day 16 The Verde Valley & Sedona B
Best to bring your camera with you as we pass through some breathtaking scenery today. A historical day trip to Verde Valley and Sedona includes visit to Red Rock Canyon of Oak Creek, Montezuma’s Castle, and the ghost town of Jerome. We visit some elegant galleries, shops, and fine restaurants as well.

Day 17 Phoenix, AZ
It’s Sunday again! The day is completely free to rest, relax, suntan or do as you please.

Day 18 Scottsdale 5th Avenue B
This afternoon we take a shopping trip to the Scottsdale Fashion Square and the Fifth Avenue area shops, which include over 150 specialty shops, art galleries and restaurants. Here you get the chance to spoil yourself with something exquisite. If shopping isn’t your cup of tea, there are plenty of other attractions in and around the mall, all in air-conditioned comfort. For those who are interested, transportation will be provided to the Unique Organ Stop Pizza Place in Mesa for an evening supper. (Optional)

Day 19 Tombstone B
Today we enjoy a trip to Tombstone, Arizona’s most famous mining town and at one time home to over 15,000 residents. Of all its colourful history, Tombstone is still most famous for the OK Corral shoot-out with the Earps and for Boothill Cemetery. We also visit Tombstone Historical Museum, which offers a fascinating look at the past. Later on we visit San Xavier del Bac Mission, an operating Catholic church located on an Indian Reservation that was constructed from 1783-1797 by the Fransiscans. This beautiful example of Spanish mission architecture is nicknamed the “White Dove of the Desert.”

Today we do a mid morning visit to the Orange Patch in mesa for some fruit picking. Later on in the afternoon we are treated to an educational tour featuring different types of farming in Arizona. (Subject to Availability). This evening, for all those interested, enjoy a trip to Rawhide Western Village, one of Arizona’s premier attractions. Enjoy dinner at the steakhouse, which features good food and entertainment. (Optional)

Day 21 Heritage Square & Mystery Castle B
This morning we head to Heritage Square, and eight structure site all of which was built as part of the original site of Phoenix. The square is home to the Arizona Doll and Toy Museum, holding dolls from as far back as 1770. Later on this afternoon we visit Mystery Castle. Built from native stone and scavenged materials between 1930 and 1945, this 8,000 square foot castle is furnished with Indian antiques and southwestern artist decor. This evening, for those who wish, we provide coach transportation to the Barleen Family Country Music Dinner Theatre (Optional)

Day 22 Phoenix, AZ B
Today is our last day in Phoenix, which is entirely free to do as you please. Take this last opportunity for a round of golf, some last minute souvenir shopping, packing your bags or simply relaxing with friends by the poolside.

Day 23 Phoenix to Grand Canyon & Page, AZ B
No trip to Arizona would be complete without visiting the magnificent Grand Canyon. We bid farewell to the Scottsdale areas as we head north to the majestic splendour of the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We have ample time to enjoy and explore the breathtaking scenery of this historic spectacle. The beauty provided by the lofty, multicoloured walls sculpted over thousands of years by the mighty Colorado River, is unsurpassed. We stop at the visitor’s centre and have a tour of the south rim of the canyon. A short drive through the beautiful scenery brings us to Page for the night. (Best Western or similar)

Scottsdale MallDay 24 Page to Grand Canyon & Cedar City, UT B
Today is a memorable day as we travel via Lake Powell and Zion National Park to Cedar City, Utah for an overnight stay. Lake Powell’s azure waters offer a stunning contrast to the surrounding red sandstone cliffs. Zion National Park is a strange land of high plateaus, deep canyons and broad mesas, cut through by the Virgin River. Truly a day for photographs! (Holiday Inn or similar)

Day 25 Cedar City, UT to Salt Lake City, UT B
We travel northward through the copper and coal state of Utah to Salt Lake City and overnight at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. Our early arrival into Salt Lake City will give us time to visit the historic Temple Square. (Royal Garden Inn or similar)

Day 26 Salt Lake City, UT to Butte, MO B
Departing the “Great Salt Valley” this morning, we travel through the eastern section of Idaho, stopping along the way for pictures at Idaho Falls on the Snake River. We then enter the “Big Sky Country” of Montana and travel onward to Butte for an overnight stay. (Best Western or similar)

Day 27 Butte, MO to Spokane, WA B, D
Today our travels take us into Washington State and our destination for the night, Spokane. This evening, join your tour director and fellow passengers for a Farewell Dinner courtesy of Pacific Gold Tours. It’s a great time to say goodbye to the many friends we have made throughout the tour. (Doubletree Hotel or similar)

Day 28 Spokane to Osoyoos, Penticton, Kelowna & Kamloops
This morning we must say goodbye to fellow passengers as the tour comes to end of some of us at the end of Okanagan Orchardthe day.  Okanagan and Kootenay passengers finish their tour in their respective cities.  West Coast, Alberta, and Saskatchewan passengers spend the night in Kelowna.

Day 29 Kelowna to Vancouver, Vancouver Island, & Calgary
West Coast passengers travel home from Kelowna today.  Alberta passengers travel to Calgary via Greyhound coach line.  Prairie passengers overnight in Calgary. 

Day 30 Calgary/Edmonton to Saskatchewan
Prairie passengers travel home by Greyhound Coach Lines, completing their trip.
