Day 1 Day 1 Home Cities to Halifax, NS 2 Nts

Arrive to the Halifax International Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, leisurely transfer to the hotel. A complimentary airport transfer voucher is included in your tour documents. Enjoy a full service downtown hotel, as the rest of the day is free to do as you wish. Meet your tour director in the hotel lobby this evening between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Day 2 Halifax, NS D
Welcome Aboard our motorcoach! Sit back, relax and enjoy the luxury of our modern motorcoach. Of course it is air-conditioned and washroom equipped, for your comfort and enjoyment. This morning we are treated to a locally guided deluxe tour of the naval city of Halifax. Tour highlights are the downtown area including the financial district, City Hall, Pier 21, the story of the Halifax Explosion, the waterfront, Public Gardens, Province House, the universities, residential areas,

Halifax’s involvement in the recovery operation of the Titanic and a guided tour at Citadel Hill. We enjoy a scattered lunch at the Halifax Historic Properties. After lunch, our scenic drive brings us to beautiful Mahone Bay for pictures and an afternoon stop. After some time at Mahone Bay, our leisurely drive brings us to the rustic charm of the famous fishing village of Peggy’s Cove. Peggy’s Cove is world famous for its picturesque lighthouse on the rocky shores of the Atlantic. Enjoy some free time for browsing and exploring Peggy’s Cove, including the Swissair Memorial. This early evening, join your tour director, driver and fellow passengers for an authentic Good Times Maritime delicacy dinner in historic Peggy’s Cove with gorgeous surroundings.

Day 3 Saint John, NB  
Our short drive this morning brings us to Grande Pre National Historic Site for a brief visit. Later on, our further drive brings us to Truro, NS for lunch. After lunch, we visit the Anne Murray Museum in Springhill. We continue our scenic journey to Moncton, NB where we visit the mysterious “Magnetic Hill”. A further journey brings us to Saint John, the Loyalist City, where we spend the night.

Day 4 Summerside/Charlottetown, PEI 2 Nts
This morning We enjoy a brief tour of Saint John. We see such sights as the Reversing Falls, Saint John Harbour, Market Square and more. We leave Saint John mid morning and travel along the spectacular Bay of Fundy to the incredible Hopewell Cape. We have time for lunch and the opportunity to walk on the ocean floor at low tide! (Subject to tide condition). Later this afternoon, we travel towards Garden Province, PEI crossing the 13 km Confederation Bridge, where we take time for pictures. We continue on to Summerside/Charlottetown for the next two nights.

Day 5 Summerside/Charlottetown, PEI D
Prepare for a full day of adventure, sightseeing and fun. We are treated to a locally guided, deluxe tour of Summerside and Charlottetown. We tour the Province House, churches, Victorian homes, the Confederation Centre and more. After lunch, we stop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company on our way to Anne of Green Gables Home and the sand dunes at Cavendish Beach. The treat of the day comes as we enjoy a traditional Lobster Dinner in New Glasgow, PEI. We return to Summerside/Charlottetown for the night.

Day 6 Baddeck, NS  
Enjoy a beautiful and scenic ferry ride this morning from Woods Island, PEI to Caribou, NS. Our leisurely drive east across the Strait of Canso brings us into Cape Breton, the island of the heart and independent Scots, the original European settlers of this historic island that is also rich in French culture. Enjoy the most dramatic and scenic views of the cliffs and moors as we travel to Baddeck, NS for a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. Here is where Mr. Bell conceived and tested some of his spectacular inventions. We spend the night in Baddeck, NS.

Day 7 Sydney, NS  
We get started for our full day scenic adventure on Cabot Trail, named after the famous explorer who first sighted the island in 1497. Watch as we pass the meandering glens, rugged coastlines, white gypsum bluffs and the always-pounding surf. We make some photo stops enroute to make this a very special day, indeed. Enjoy the most relaxing and scenic adventure of the tour. We retire for the night back in Sydney.

Day 8 Halifax, NS  
This morning we visit the historical Fortress of Louisbourg. Watch history unfold during our sightseeing tour of the famous 18th century Fortress. It is beautifully restored with inhabitants dressed in period costume, and it stands today as it was 200 years ago. We leave the fortress in the early afternoon and travel back to the city of Halifax for our last tour night stay.

Day 9 Return Home  
All good things must come to an end! We take with us memories of a wonderful Maritimes experience as we travel to the airport for our return flight home. Complimentary airport transfer voucher is included in your tour documents courtesy of Pacific Gold Tours.
