Fly in from home cities to the Halifax International Airport.
Upon arrival at the airport, leisurely transfer to
the hotel. A complimentary airport transfer voucher

rest of the day is free to do as you wish. Meet your tour
director in the hotel lobby between 500 PM and 700 PM

Naval City Sightseeing & Peggy’s Cove |

We are treated to a locally guided deluxe tour of the naval
city of Halifax this morning. The tour highlights the downtown
area including the financial district, City Hall, Pier 21, the story of
the Halifax Explosion, the waterfront, Public Gardens, Province House,
the universities, residential areas, Halifax’s involvement in the recovery
operation of the Titanic and a guided tour at Citadel Hill. We enjoy a
scattered lunch at the Halifax Historic Properties. After lunch, our leisurely
drive brings us to the rustic charm of the famous fishing village of Peggy’s
Cove. Peggy’s Cove is world famous for its picturesque lighthouse on the rocky shores of the Atlantic. Enjoy
some free time for browsing and exploring Peggy’s Cove this late afternoon. This early evening, join your tour
director, driver and fellow passengers for an authentic Good Times Maritime delicacy dinner in historic Peggy’s
Cove with gorgeous natural surroundings.

Halifax, NS to Digby Ferry & Saint John, NB |

Our short drive this morning brings us to Grande Pre National Historic Site for a historical visit. The graceful stone church
stands as a memorial to the Acadians, as during the Deportation from 1755 and 1763, the Acadians
were forcefully exiled from their homes
and farms. Afterwards, we visit Port
Royal, one of the oldest European
settlements in Canada. We continue
on and arrive in Digby to catch the
ferry to Saint John, NB, crossing the
Bay of Fundy with the world’s highest
tides. We enjoy lunch during our ferry
crossing. The ferry brings us to Saint
John, NB, the Loyalist City. Stroll along
the revitalized waterfront and Market Square of this old
loyalist stronghold.

to Charlottetown, PEI |

This morning, we enjoy a brief tour of Saint John. We see such
sights as the famous Reversing Falls, Saint John Harbour, Market
Square and more. We leave Saint John mid morning and
travel along the
spectacular Bay of
Fundy to the incredible
Hopewell
Cape. We have time for lunch and the opportunity to walk
on the ocean floor at low tide (Subject to tide condition)!
Later this afternoon, we travel towards Garden Province, PEI
crossing the 13 km Confederation Bridge, where we provide
time for pictures. We continue on to Summerside/Charlottetown
for the next two nights.

Prepare for adventure, sightseeing and fun. We are treated to a locally guided, tour of Prince Edward
Island this morning. Our tour includes a Charlottetown City Tour, Anne of Green Gables, Woodleigh
Replicas and Province House. The treat of the day comes as we enjoy a traditional lobster dinner
in New Glasgow, PEI.

Enjoy a beautiful and scenic ferry ride this
morning from Woods Island, PEI to Caribou,
NS. Our leisurely drive east across the Strait
of Canso brings us into Cape Breton, the
island of the hearty and independent Scots,
the original European settlers of this historic
island that also is rich in French heritage.
Enjoy the most dramatic and scenic views of
the cliffs and moors as we travel to Baddeck
for a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. Here is where Mr.
Bell conceived and tested some of his spectacular inventions! Our further journey
continues on to our hotel in Sydney, NS.

We get started for our full day scenic adventure on Cabot Trail, named after the
famous explorer who first sighted the island in
1497. Watch as we pass the meandering glens,
rugged coastlines, white gypsum bluffs and the
always-pounding surf. We make some photo
stops enroute to make this a very special day,
indeed. Enjoy the most relaxing and scenic
adventure of the tour. We retire for the night
back in Sydney.

Fortress of Louisbourg |

This morning we visit the historical Fortress of Louisbourg
from 930AM to 130PM. Watch history unfold during our
sightseeing tour of the famous 18th century Fortress. It
is beautifully restored with inhabitants dressed in period
costume, and it stands today as it was 200 years ago. This
afternoon we take a side excursion to Big Pond for a picture
and coffee break at Rita McNeil's Teahouse. After a pleasant
historical day, we return back to our hotel in Sydney and
retire for the day.

to Port Aux Basques & Corner Brook, NF

This morning, we start our adventure as we board the Marine Atlantic Ferry at North
Sydney, NS to Port Aux Basques, NF (subject to Ferry schedule). Sit back, relax and
watch for marine life as we sail across the Cabot Strait. Our overnight stop is in the
beautiful city of Corner Brook on Humber Fjord.

Today we make a stop at the Railway Society of
Newfoundland Historical Train Site and Captain
Cook's Monument for a picture opportunity.
Get off the beaten path as we take a trip into
Gros Morne National Park, designated a world
Heritage site, with breathtaking scenery. We
stop at the park's Visitor Centre and proceed
along the Viking Trail. At Lobster Cove we visit
the Lighthouse and the fascinating marine
displays. View Western Brook Pond's glacier
carved gorges on the way to Port au Choix
National Historic Site. The exhibits here focus
on archaeological finds that identify Maritime
Indian and Dorset Eskimo settlements in this
area, well before 2000 BC. After a great day, we
look forward to our motel in Plum Point with world-class hospitality where we
spend the next two nights.

L'Anse Aux Meadows & Grenfell Home |

We go far back in history as we travel to L'Anse Aux Meadows
National Historic Park, the first authenticated Norse site in
North America. Archaeologists have uncovered artifacts that
indicate a Norse settlement was in this area about 1000 AD.
It is believed that Leif the Lucky settled in this Viking Village
in 1000 AD. UNESCO has declared this a World Heritage
site. We tour the sod-house which displays the Norse way of
life. Next, we visit St. Anthony, home of the Grenfell Mission
where we see the Grenfell House and browse the unique
craft centre. We retrace our steps back down the Viking Trail
to Plum Point for the night.

Plum Point to Grand Falls, NF |

Today we journey south along the Gulf of St.
Lawrence with a stop at Arches Provincial
Park to photograph the two large arches
carved by the pounding sea. Our leisurely
southeast drive takes us through open
country with patches of pine and spruce
trees. We visit the Salmonid Interpretation Centre (subject to availability). During
the "Road to the Isles" drive, the area's
amusingly named settlements such as Virgin Arm, Crow Head and Hatchet Harbour
indicate the unique local nature. At historic Twillingate, we visit the Museum and
the Long Point Lighthouse. We visit the Salmonid Interpretation Centre (subject to
availability). We arrive in Grand Falls, NF for the overnight stay.

Grand Falls, NF to Clarenville, NF |

We leave Grand Falls this morning. Our first stop of the day is at Peacekeepers Park
& Silent Witness. Next we visit the beautiful Terra Nova National Park and its
Marine Interpretive Centre. A short drive brings us to Clarenville for our overnight
stay. Tonight we enjoy a "screech-in" party, the traditional Newfoundland welcome
at the hotel.

We travel to the Avalon Peninsula. Sit back and relax
as we drive through Heart's Delight and Heart's Desire
to the small town of Heart's Content. We visit the old
cable relay station, where the first transatlantic cable
was landed in 1866. We make a short stop in Harbour
Grace, an old pirate town, where Amelia Earhart took
off in 1932 for her pioneering solo flight across the
Atlantic Ocean. We continue our scenic drive through
Conception Bay to St. John's, NF. A city unlike any other,
the "City of Legends" is cradled in a harbour carved from
granite and is surrounded by hills running down to the
ocean. Quaint side streets of a thousand colours and
friendly faces wait to greet you. We stay in St. John for
the next two nights.

We enjoy a locally guided city tour of St. John's this
morning. The guided tour covers Cabot Tower, Signal Hill,
the Historic Church, Confederation Building, City Hall and
much more. This afternoon we drive around Cape Spear,
the most easterly point in North America, beautiful Petty
Harbour and the historic waterfront. We also explore St.
John's downtown for an hour for last minute souvenir
shopping for our loved ones. We return to our hotel for
rest and freshening up before the dinner. We take this
opportunity to say goodbye to our newfound friends
while exchanging a memorable time together on this tour.
This evening, join your tour director and fellow passengers for a traditional
Maritimes Farewell Dinner courtesy of Pacific Gold Tours.
All good things must come to an end! We say good-bye to fellow passengers
and take with us our
memories of a wonderful
