Full Day Excursion to the Grand Canyon, AZ

Our leisurely morning drive brings us to the Grand Canyon. No trip to Arizona would be complete without visiting the magnificent Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We have ample time to enjoy and explore the breathtaking scenery of this historic spectacle. The beauty provided by the lofty, multicoloured walls sculpted over thousands of years by the mighty Colorado River, is unsurpassed. We return to Las Vegas for the second nights' stay. Upon arrival to Las Vegas we take a brief tour of the famous Las Vegas Strip.

Day 3:

Las Vegas to Laughlin, NV

We say goodbye to the glam and glitter of Las Vegas this morning and take a short drive to enjoy a guided tour of Hoover Dam. Later our leisurely drive brings us to the bank of the Colorado River and town of Laughlin for two nights of fun and excitement. You can spend the day exploring the beautiful Colorado River on the water taxis, relax at the pool side or flirt with Lady Luck at the first-class casinos.

Full day Excursion to Lake Havasu

After a delicious breakfast we drive to Lake Havasu City, the jewel in the Colorado River. Here we visit the famous "London Bridge" for a picture stop followed by a leisurely lunch. We return to Laughlin for the second nights' stay. Late afternoon is free to do as you wish.

Day 5:

Laughlin to San Diego, California

After breakfast we take a leisurely drive to the city of San Diego, our home for the next 15 days. Upon arrival at our hotel, become acquainted with the hotel facilities and surrounding areas. For those who would like to pick up some groceries, coach and driver will provide transportation to a nearby grocery store for your convenience. Relax and unpack in your full-service hotel for the next two weeks.

Day 6:

Orientation city tour of San Diego and Coronado Island

After enjoying a hot breakfast at the hotel restaurant, we embark on a fully narrated city tour of the many diversified and unique areas of San Diego including Seaport Village, historic Old Town, the vibrant downtown and Gaslamp Quarter – 16 blocks of sophisticated nightlife, restaurants and shopping. In the afternoon we explore the beautiful Coronado Island. Leafy, quiet streets lined with perfectly appointed homes resembling gingerbread houses comprise half the island. The other half is home to the Naval Air Station North Island that provides carrier parking for most of the Pacific Fleet. We tour the famous historical Hotel del Coronado crowning the broad, mile-long sandy beach.

A day at Leisure

It's a Sunday! After a delicious hot breakfast we are free to enjoy today at our own leisure. Explore the area on your own by making use of the shuttle service and go golfing, shopping, walking or just relax next to the outdoor pool at the hotel.

Los Angeles & Crystal Cathedral

After the included hot breakfast, we leave for a full day excursion to Los Angeles and the Crystal Cathedral. This amazing structure features marble walls, a 52 bell carillon, 10,000 windows of tempered silver coloured glass and one of the largest pipe organs in the world. A must see! In Los Angeles we will enjoy all the sights pointed out during a locally guided city tour, including Hollywood, Sunset Drive and Rodeo Drive. In Hollywood we visit Mann's Chinese Theatre where you can compare your hand and foot prints to such stars as Marilyn Monroe or Cary Grant. Take a stroll down Hollywood Blvd or Hollywood's Walk of Fame and see how many stars you recognise. We return to San Diego through the Scenic Highway.

Day 9:

Historic Highway 101 Beach Drive

We enjoy hot breakfast this morning and then go on a full day drive north along the beautiful coast on Highway 101 visiting Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla Cove, Carlsbad and Oceanside Beach. On our leisurely drive along HWY 101 we stop to dip our feet into the Pacific Ocean and feel soft white sand between our toes. In the village of La Jolla - "the jewel" in Spanish. Take a walking tour to the cove to see seals and sea lions basking in the Californian sun!

Further north, Carlsbad is one of the most picturesque coastal communities in Southern California. Known for its Flower Fields, Carlsbad offers endless rows of tulips and roses to make up a kaleidoscope of unforgettable colours when in bloom (seasonal). Bring your camera for everlasting memories! Finally we visit Oceanside beach and its pier before returning to our hotel in San Diego. What a leisure fun day!

San Diego Zoo & Balboa Park and its Museums

After breakfast we leave for a full day exploring Balboa Park which is home to 15 major museums, several performing arts venues, lovely gardens and many other cultural and recreational attractions – including the San Diego Zoo. For those interested we visit the world famous San Diego Zoo for the morning (Optional – Zoo admission not included). Alternatively you may explore Balboa Park. The San Diego Zoo is renowned as one of the best in the world and particularly as a leader in conservation. You can experience the entire park from the convenience of the guided tram ride around the zoo as well as take an airborne shortcut over the treetops to the other end of the Zoo and enjoy spectacular views of the Zoo, its animal and plant collection from the air tram.

We explore Balboa Park and museums in the afternoon. Some highlights are the San Diego Natural History Museum, the San Diego Aerospace Museum and much more.

Balboa Park's tram is a free service and provides access to museums and attractions in the park. Audio walking tours can be purchased at the Visitors Center. You can pack your own lunch or enjoy lunch at one of the cafes or fine restaurants in the park.

Day 11:

Explore Downtown & shopping

A sumptuous hot breakfast at the hotel restaurant in the morning, followed by a day of leisure in San Diego downtown. Today you can explore diverse shops, unique eateries and outdoor entertainment as we visit Little Italy, the Gaslamp Quarter, Horton Plaza Shopping Centre and the world famous Seaport Village – a 14 acre waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment complex recreating a harbour side setting of a century ago.

Explore Tijuana, Mexico

Enjoy your complimentary hot breakfast at the hotel before we leave for a full day excursion of shopping and a cultural tour of Tijuana, Mexico. You can indulge in an authentic Mexican lunch and shop till you drop at the duty free shopping area. Test your ability for bargaining! Here you can purchase quality silver, leather, perfume and hand-crafted art at bargain prices! We also view Tijuana's cultural district before crossing the border back to San Diego. Day 13:

All about Wine and then... Lady Luck

After breakfast we depart for a full day tour to visit a winery and do some wine tasting of local wines. San Diego's wine country lies north of Downtown San Diego. We will learn about the local wine making process and the different types of grapes grown in the region to create the perfect wine. We will visit a winery and vineyards while enjoying a wine tasting. Later on we explore a couple of well known casinos where you can try your hand at Lady Luck.

A day at Leisure

It's Sunday again! A free day to fill as you wish. Start the day with a complimentary hot breakfast at your hotel and go from there. You can watch a movie with a friend or make today your laundry day...Whatever you choose to do – we want you to have a nice day!

Full day excursion to Palm Springs

Rise and shine for an early breakfast at the hotel. Today we travel inland through mountainous desert scenery to Palm Springs. In Palm Springs we enjoy a locally guided city tour to get a glimpse of the life of the rich and famous that has made this town their personal retreat. Now it's yours to enjoy for the day!

Your wish is our command

Your wish is our command and your tour director will follow the majority wish for the sightseeing of the day. Your group might decide to visit the Gaslamp Quarter in Downtown San Diego again or maybe enjoy an afternoon at Seaport Village. Whatever the majority wish – we will deliver!

Day 17:

Amigo Country again

Breakfast at the hotel and then we depart for another full day across the border. We explore the rich coast that stretches for miles with beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and hillsides on the Ensenada Nature Bay Tour. Discover the coastal cities starting with Tijuana, Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo and then the port of Ensenada at Todos Santos Bay. Later we travel into Ensenada and explore the famous shopping strip and Black Fisherman's Market. You may enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch and further discover and indulge in the rich Mexican culture. (Subject to change depending on local advice)

San Diego

It's the final day in San Diego. You may want to make use of the hotel's shuttle service and spend the day at SeaWorld or simply rest and relax using the hotel's amenities and prepare for your return journey home. Whatever you do, make the most of it!

Return Home From San Diego

All good things must come to an end! At breakfast, we bid farewell to our new found friends as our tour ends today. We take with us fond memories of our tour as we travel to the airport for our return flight home.
