DAY 1:
ARRIVE TO TORONTO, ON
Welcome to Toronto! 12 and 16 Day Eastern Canada and the Maritimes Passengers arrive to Toronto today. Upon arrival at the airport, leisurely transfer to your first class hotel. Enjoy a full service hotel, as the rest of the day is free to do as you wish. Meet your tour director and fellow passengers in the hotel lobby at 7 PM for a Welcome Get Acquainted Reception and Tour Briefing. Your Tour Director will meet and greet you and prepare you for the sights and sounds of your Eastern Canada and The Maritimes Tour.
DAY 2:

DELUXE CITY TOUR OF TORONTO
After an included breakfast we board our motorcoach. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the luxury of our modern motorcoach. It is of course air-conditioned and washroom equipped, for your comfort and enjoyment. We are treated to a locally guided city tour of Toronto, including such highlights as the two City Halls, Parliament Buildings, viewing the CN Tower, Eaton Centre, lakefront and downtown area. After a scattered lunch in downtown, we proceed south through rich farmlands and vineyards along the Queen Elizabeth Highway to the Niagara Parkway to Niagara Falls. We then enjoy a thrilling excursion aboard the “Maid of the Mist” for an incredible sight of the enormous falls. Later on we visit the “Brock Monument”, the “Floral Clock” and “Whirlpool Rapids” for pictures. Niagara Falls, the “Honeymoon Capital of the World,” is our home for the night.
DAY 3:

1000 ISLAND CRUISE & GANANOQUE, ON
After an included breakfast, our short drive brings us to Niagara-on-the-Lake, where we find a thriving community. We spend some time here to browse and shop. After our morning coffee break, we make our way to picturesque Gananoque for 1000 Islands Boat Cruise. This scenic boat ride takes us through the heart of the Thousand Islands and gives us a view of Boldt Castle – built by a self-made millionaire for his wife.
DAY 4:

GANANOQUE TO OTTAWA, ON
After an included breakfast, we travel towards the capital city of our great nation – Ottawa. We arrive at Rideau Street Mall for some browsing, souvenir shopping and a scattered lunch. At 2 PM, we are met by a local guide for a deluxe city tour of Ottawa, including a guided tour of the Parliament Buildings (subject to change), the Prime Minister’s residence, Rideau Hall and more. After our city tour, we check into our full service, first-class downtown hotel. The rest of the day and evening is at your leisure to explore downtown Ottawa on your own.

CANADIAN MUSEUM OF CIVILIZATION, WAR MUSEUM & MONTREAL, PQ
After an included breakfast, we visit the world-renown Canadian Museum of Civilization & the Canadian National War Museum, a second to none experience and tribute to Canada’s military history. After a leisurely lunch, we board our luxury coach and travel to the “cosmopolitan” city of Montreal. We arrive in Old Montreal for a visit to the Notre Dame Basilica in the afternoon. We spend some time in Old Montreal for browsing and souvenir shopping before checking into our downtown hotel for the night.
DAY 6:

MONTREAL CITY TOUR & QUEBEC CITY
After an included breakfast this morning, we enjoy a locally guided, cultural and historical city tour of Montreal including the Olympic Park, St. Joseph’s Oratory, and a view of the city from Mount Royal. After a leisurely lunch, our short travel brings us to Old Quebec City for a French cultural experience. Quebec City is our home for the next 2 nights.

QUEBEC CITY SIGHTSEEING
After an included breakfast, we begin the day filled with excitement. The narrow streets and quaint buildings of “Old Town Quebec City,” the only walled city on the continent, other than Mexico, exudes a romantic atmosphere. We enjoy a locally guided 9 AM to 12 noon city tour of Quebec City this morning. We visit the World Famous Chateau Frontenac, the Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham and much more! After lunch we have time to explore the downtown core and the capital of Quebec on our own.
DAY 8:

NEW ENGLAND & BANGOR, ME
After an included breakfast, our southward travel brings us to the Canada/US border to enter into the United States. We marvel at the gorgeous scenery of farmlands and country-side in fall foliage, on our way to Bangor. We sincerely hope Mother Nature pleases us by displaying beautiful scenery of the fall colours. We spend the night in Bangor.
DAY 9:

ST. ANDREWS-BY-THE-SEA & SAINT JOHN, NB
After an included breakfast this morning, we cross the Canadian border and re-enter into Canada. We visit St. Andrews-by-the-sea to a picturesque seaside village – with a stop here to enjoy a walking tour and visit the quaint little shops. Our further drive along the Bay of Fundy brings us to the city of Saint John, the loyalist city. This afternoon, we enjoy a tour of Saint John which includes Market Square, Saint John Harbour and Reversing Falls, a unique phenomenon between the Bay of Fundy tides and the flow of the Saint John River
DAY 10:

HOPEWELL ROCKS & HALIFAX, NS
After an included breakfast, our morning drive along the spectacular shores of the Bay of Fundy brings us to the Fundy National Park. We see dyked farmlands & small communities. Our further short drive brings us to the incredible Hopewell Rocks with ample time to explore and perhaps have the opportunity to walk on the ocean floor at low tide (subject to tide conditions). Later on, our drive brings us to the Naval City of Halifax. We spend the next two nights in Halifax, NS.
DAY 11:

DELUXE CITY TOUR OF NAVAL CITY HALIFAX, NS
After an included breakfast, we are treated to a city tour of Halifax. The educational tour highlights the downtown area including the financial district, City Hall, Pier 21, Province House, the Titanic Memorial, Public Gardens and more. We also visit Citadel Hill National Historic Site. We enjoy a scattered lunch at the Halifax Historic Properties. After lunch, our further drive brings us to the rustic charm of the famous fishing village of Peggy’s Cove. Peggy’s Cove is world famous for its picturesque lighthouse on the rocky shores of the Atlantic. Enjoy some free time for browsing and picture taking at Peggy’s Cove this afternoon. We return to our hotel with the free evening to do as we please.
DAY 12:

MAGNETIC HILL, OLIVIER SOAPERY, NORTH SHORE OF PEI & LOBSTER DINNER
After an included breakfast, we bid farewell to city of Halifax and travel to city of Moncton. We visit the mysterious “Magnetic Hill”, one of nature’s contradictions as cars appear to coast uphill backwards! Afterwards, a short drive brings us to the fishing community of St. Anne-de-Kent. Here we take pleasure in watching a demonstration of traditional soap making at the Olivier Soapery. We proceed towards the 13 kilometre Confederation Bridge to PEI. We stop and take time for pictures on this Canadian landmark then onto the North Shore of the Island with its lovely beaches, the fishing village at North Rustico, and a visit to Anne of Green Gables house in Cavindish. We visit the Lucy M. Montgomery’s grave and that of her parents. Later on, we are off to New Glasgow for a delicious Lobster Dinner.
DAY 13:

AM CITY TOUR & NEW GLASGOW, NS
After an included breakfast, prepare for more sightseeing and fun in Charlottetown. We are treated this morning to a locally guided tour of historic Charlottetown. We tour the Province House, churches, Victorian homes, the Confederation Centre and more. After a leisurely lunch at the Charlottetown Quay, we arrive to the ferry terminal to ride the ferry from Woods Island, PEI to Caribou, NS. A further short drive brings us to New Glasgow for an overnight stay.
DAY 14:

FORTRESS OF LOUISBERG & SYDNEY, NS
After an included breakfast, our further drive across the Strait of Canso brings us into Cape Breton, the island of the hearty and independent Scots, the original European settlers of this historic island that also is rich in French heritage. Our further drive brings us to historical Fortress of Louisbourg, the famous 18th century landmark. The fortress is “animated” with soldiers and villagers all going about their business as they would have in 1720. A guide takes us through the buildings of this reconstructed fortress. It is beautifully restored with inhabitants dressed in period costume, and it stands today as it did 200 years ago. The whole afternoon is allowed to explore this monument thoroughly. After a pleasant historical adventure, we arrive to our Sydney hotel in the late afternoon. The evening is at your leisure to do as you please.
DAY 15:

FULL DAY OF FUN & STUNNING SCENERY ON THE CABOT TRAIL
After an included breakfast, our first stop today is the beautiful park-like setting at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum which displays working models of Bell’s experiments during the years he lived in Baddeck. After our morning break in Baddeck, we get started for our full day scenic adventure on Cabot Trail, named after the famous explorer who first sighted the island in 1497. Watch as we pass the meandering glens, rugged coastlines, white gypsum bluffs and the always-pounding surf. We travel the scenic Cabot Trail, through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, stopping in Cheticamp, the Lone Sheiling and other stunning mountain vistas that make for panoramic photo stops. Enjoy the most relaxing and scenic adventure of the tour. We retire for the night back in Sydney.
DAY 16:

RETURN HOME FROM SYDNEY, NS
We bid farewell to each other during an included breakfast this morning. All good things must come to an end! We take with us our memories of a wonderful ‘Eastern Canada & The Maritimes’ experience as we travel to the airport for our return flight home.
