Day 2 Williams Lake to Dawson Creek, BC D
Calgary, Edmonton to Dawson Creek, BC
British Columbia passengers travel north through the world famous rancher and mountain country of the Caribou Plateau. We lunch in the hub city of Prince George before travelling through the forests and farmland of the Peace River Valley to Dawson Creek, BC.
All southern Alberta passengers travel to Edmonton. Here we stop for lunch at West Edmonton Mall. After lunch we travel northwest through Northern Alberta’s vast landscape to Dawson Creek, BC.
This evening, join your Tour Director, Driver and fellow new passengers for a “Welcome Get Acquainted Dinner and Tour Briefing.” (George Dawson Inn)

Day 3 Dawson Creek to Fort Nelson, BC B
It is here in Dawson Creek that the 2,275 km Alaska Highway begins at Mile “0”. Numerous misconceptions still surround the fabled treacherous Alaska Highway but, in fact, it’s a well-maintained highway year round. We continue along on the highway to Fort Nelson for the night. Day 4 Fort Nelson to Watson Lake, YT B
We travel through beautiful country, surrounded by lakes and streams. We drive through the highest summit on the Alaskan Highway at 4,218 feet, then a lunch stop at a log chalet by colorful Muncho Lake. We proceed to Watson Lake, the gateway to the Yukon, for our overnight stay. We view the famous Sign Post Forest which will amaze you with its thousands of signs from around the world. Day 5 Watson Lake to Whitehorse, YT B
An incredible landscape unfolds today as we travel to the city of Whitehorse. Upon arrival we take a guided tour of Whitehorse, including the S.S. Klondike, McBride Museum, and Miles Canyon. The treat of the day comes this evening as we enjoy a cruise on the MV Schwatka down the Yukon River through the once dangerous Miles Canyon. Relax in comfort and enjoy the scenic splendors of the majestic Yukon River while listening to a narration of the history and points of interest along the way. We return to our hotel for the night. Day 6 Whitehorse to Dawson City, YT 2 Nts, B
This morning we will follow the original Dawson-Whitehorse winter road past Lake Lebarge of Robert Service fame. The beautiful scenery of the “Klondike Loop” takes us through one of the richest silver mining regions in Canada to Dawson City. Join your Tour Director tonight for a visit to Diamond Tooth Gertie’s gambling hall. Try your luck or just enjoy the Honky-Tonk piano, Can-Can dancers and musicians. (Westmark Inn or similar)

Day 8 Dawson City to Fairbanks, AK 2 Nts, B
We travel the “Top of the World” Highway stopping in Tok, the dog mushing capital of Alaska. Then it’s on to the Santa Claus House at the North Pole, AK where we catch up with Jolly ol’ St. Nick during his holiday season. We continue our travels to the Pipeline Capital of Alaska - Fairbanks, our home for the next two nights. (Westmark Inn or similar)

Day 9 Fairbanks, AK B, D
We enjoy a locally guided three-hour deluxe tour of Fairbanks, which includes a visit to the University of Alaska Museum to view a display of Indian and Eskimo arts and crafts. After lunch we take a historical four-hour, fully narrated, cruise on the Riverboat “Discovery” with stops to see the heritage and culture of this sub-arctic region. Get ready for yet another treat this evening as we visit Alaskaland. We enjoy a delicious Alaska Salmon Bake Dinner, before being entertained by the ‘Golden Heart Review’. An evening of dinner, history and good times.

Day 10 Fairbanks to Anchorage, AK 2 Nts, B
We leave Fairbanks this morning via George Parks Highway to Denali National Park, an area with spectacular scenery of quiet lakes, snow-capped peaks, and varicoloured tundra. We stop in Denali National Park for lunch & browsing. Our further southward journey allows us a picture stop at the Veteran’s Memorial and a visit to the headquarters of the world famous Iditarod dog-sled race in Wasilla. We arrive in Anchorage for a two-night stay. (Inlet Towers Hotel or similar)

Day 11 Anchorage, AK B
A locally guided city tour of Anchorage is scheduled for this morning, which includes Earthquake Park, Lake Hood, Ship Creek, and Government Hill. Following the tour we view the world’s largest “Chocolate Waterfall” and sample delicious chocolate, jams and jellies as we tour the Candy Factory. We enjoy lunch at the Sourdough Mining Restaurant. Join your Tour Director and driver for a fully narrated and very scenic tour and cruise of the massive Portage Glacier this afternoon. Time permitting, we stop at the Alyeska Resort and browse in the Jade gift store.

Day 12 Anchorage to Tok, AK B
Today we stop for pictures at the historic Indian Village of Eklutna on the Glenn Highway. Dramatic scenery awaits us today as we drive east through the Wrangell Mountain Range and through the Matnusha Valley into Tok on the Richardson Highway. We spend the night here. (Westmark Hotel or similar)

Day 13 Tok to Whitehorse, YT 2 Nts, B
Our journey through the snow-capped peaks of the Alaska Range brings us to Burwash Landing and Kluane National Park, located on the bank of Kluane Lake. We enjoy a visit to Sheep Mountain Visitor Centre near Haines Junction. Our further drive brings us to Whitehorse for a two nights stay where tonight we’ll have a foot-stomping good time at the Frantic Follies Vaudeville show. (Yukon Inn or similar)

Day 14 White Pass & Yukon Railroad Historical Ride B
We travel south to Fraser, BC to begin a unique ride on the narrow gauge “White Pass and Yukon Route” railway that takes us 2,885 feet / 879 m from summit to sea level in only 20 miles / 32 km of track. We conclude our narrated ride at Skagway, the port city of the gold rush of 1898. Skagway is a living history lesson; the old boardwalk, the original storefronts and quaint shops. We enjoy a locally guided brief tour of this quaint port town. Late afternoon we return to Whitehorse for the night.

Day 15 Whitehorse, YT to Dease Lake, BC
We say goodbye to Whitehorse and head back on the Alaska Highway towards British Columbia. We travel south on the Stewart-Cassiar Highway. We marvel at the vast natural landscape and abundant wildlife as we journey south to Dease Lake for an overnight stay. (Northway Motor Inn or similar)

Day 16 Dease Lake to Smithers, BC B
After an included breakfast, our leisurely southern drive through rural communities provides a contrast of old and new cultures. Out of the Alaskan and Yukon wilderness, our scenery changes to the more familiar, Beautiful British Columbia as we travel to Smithers for a one night stay. (Hudson Bay Lodge or similar))

Day 17 Smithers to Williams Lake, BC B
As we head further south our Alaskan adventure may be over but we still have lots of beautiful scenery rolling by our window and lots of fun on our coach. We continue our leisurely drive along the Yellowhead Highway to Prince George and on to Williams Lake, where we spend the night. (Overlander Hotel or similar)

Day 18 Williams Lake to Kamloops & Kelowna, BC B
We head south to Kamloops, where we bid farewell to our Prairie passengers. Our further drive brings us to Kelowna, where we say good-bye to fellow passengers from the Okanagan. Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island passengers overnight in Kelowna, BC.
Alberta and Saskatchewan passengers travel east from Kamloops on the Trans Canada Highway through the Shuswap area to the serenity of Three Valley Gap to enjoy an evening nestled among the mountains.

Day 19 Kelowna to Vancouver & Vancouver Island
Three Valley Gap to Calgary & Edmonton
Today West Coast passengers enjoy the magnificent scenery of the drive over the Connector and Coquihalla Highways to destinations in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.
Alberta and Saskatchewan passengers continue seeing the awe-inspiring beauty of the mountains through Revelstoke, Rogers Pass & Kicking Horse Pass and across the continental divide into Alberta. We visit Lake Louise, one of the most familiar mountain vistas in the world. We continue traveling along the Bow River in the Rocky Mountains to Banff and arrive to Calgary. Here we say goodbye to our Southern Alberta passengers. Our further northern drive to Red Deer and Edmonton brings us to the completion of our tour. Saskatchewan and Manitoba passengers spend the night in Edmonton.

Day 20 Alberta to Saskatchewan & Manitoba, SK
Home bound journey today for Saskatchewan & Manitoba passengers by Greyhound Coach Line.
